Japan 2026 Day 4 – Okinawa

Day 4 in Okinawa was fully dedicated to Jon and Connie’s wedding. Although will say I got a bunch of resort things checked off early in the morning.

First did a 3 mile run on the treadmill in the fitness center (but have to say that the fitness center was pretty sad… basically the size of two standard hotel rooms put together).

After, quickly used the hotel’s Onsen (mainly since it’s been a while and wanted to re-immerse in the Japanese culture, but also it’s free). The Onsen itself seemed fairly standard (which was fine for me).

Grabbed a quick brunch bite at the resort’s Ocean Cafe Restaurant, trying their loco moco. Details here:

After, checked out Manza Beach (connected to our resort) to hang with people. Didn’t go into the water, but it did have a water obstacle course you could do for a fee. Also other water sports like snorkeling, and kayaking were available.

After, prepared for the wedding ceremony, which was at Arman Terrace (40 minutes from the hotel). I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Overall, a very beautiful ceremony. The sun came through the overcast for most of it, and the vows were very touching (from Connie needing space from time to time, to Jo

After the ceremony, we went back to the resort for the reception, where they cut the cake, had Okinawa style food, speeches, and trivia. Oh, and at the end there were fireworks.

There was an after party that was also at the resort, which was mainly dancing to 2000’s music, and some EDM like Calvin Harris and Kaskade.

There was also an after after party at a bar called Wankara Bar. It’s mainly a bar, but we paid them extra to turn it also into Karaoke. Jon also dedicated a song to me (see video at the end).
