{"id":681,"date":"2017-11-24T14:47:30","date_gmt":"2017-11-24T14:47:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/?p=681"},"modified":"2017-11-26T11:48:51","modified_gmt":"2017-11-26T11:48:51","slug":"last-day-in-bogota","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/?p=681","title":{"rendered":"Last Day in Bogota"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We started off the day getting caffeine at Juan Valdez near our hotel.<\/p>\n<p>Then we went to venture off around Usaquen, where we stopped by a &#8220;Mac Store&#8221; (where it was basically an Apple store, but they did not have any iPhone X).<\/p>\n<p>We grabbed a light lunch at Osaka.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0303.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0304.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>And then stopped a nearby shopping center called Hacienda Santa Barbers.l (where they also had a La Plaza de Qudres).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0305.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0307.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>On our way to the museum of Gold, I thought it was interesting that people sell things on the roads:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"file:\/\/\/var\/mobile\/Containers\/Data\/Application\/476F94E4-8C6D-4152-8726-C3C6C180A97A\/Library\/Caches\/Media\/img_0311-thumbnail.jpeg\"><\/p>\n<p>At the Gold Museum, it was super cheap to enter (like $1.50 USD or 4000 pesos)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0313.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0314.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0320.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0321.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0325.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0328.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>After the Gold museum we went to a a church called Catedral de la Virgin.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0330.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0331.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>We went our way back to Zona Rosa, where we stopped by a Taco Bel and I got some Nachos and a bunch of candy (the equivalent to Hershey&#8217;s in Colombia is Jet):<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0333.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_8788.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>We then got a full body massage at Chairama spa (it was $151000 pesos, which I though was a bit pricey for Colombia).<\/p>\n<p>After the massage, we stopped by a bar called La Cerveceria.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0335.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0336.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0337.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>The last bar we went to was called Cabrera Resto Bar, where they had really good deep house music (much like Roxanne, except they had a DJ).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0339.jpg\"><div style=\"width: 584px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-681-1\" width=\"584\" height=\"329\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0341.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0341.mp4\">http:\/\/travel.johnmatienzo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/img_0341.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div><\/p>\n<p>To end off, some interesting things I thought I should mention:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Empanadas are more corn-like in Colombia compared to the US<\/li>\n<li>The exchange rate was about 3 times the US<\/li>\n<li>Alcoholic drinks were almost the same price as the US, but good in general was cheap<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We started off the day getting caffeine at Juan Valdez near our hotel.
